Sightseeing tour

Of course, during the 3 centuries of the city's existence there have been changes in architecture and living standards, but the General concept of building and style in most cases is preserved and protected. Boat trip

The exhibition is located in 365 halls and consists of different paintings from old school to impressionists, Royal thrones, carriages, magnificent parquet, Handicrafts, jewelry, porcelain, sculptures, archaeological finds, ancient mummies, utensils, furniture and many other exhibits.

Peter and Paul Fortress
The birthplace of the city. Fortress is the first object which was built by the order of Peter the Great. Peter and Paul Fortress is located on Hare Island, near the right bank of the Neva River.

The island is about 750 meters long and about 400 meters in width. The Peter and Paul Cathedral is situated in the center of the fortress.
It is the most significant building of the fortress with bell tower and gilded spire it has height of 122.5 meters.

The cathedral is the burial place of all Russian tsars from Peter I to Alexander III, with the exception of Peter II and Ivan VI. In the territory here are Monetary Yard, The House of Peter’s Boat with little life-boat inside, the label with the scale of the inundations in St.Petersburg.
Russian Museum
Right here is a collection of paintings, portraits, icons, posters, sculptures and many objects of arts and crafts created from the 15th century to the present day.
The most interesting exhibits are kept in a frame of stunning beauty, which is the Mikhailovsky Palace.

Petershof – Grand Palace and Low park
Grand Peterhof Palace is the central part of Peterhof Fountain Park with its elegant 3-storey façade. They are flanked with glass galleries and the shining gilded domes of Peterhof Church and Coat-of-Arms Pavilion.
Park in Petershof reflects the best gardening traditions of French regular parks. Among other attractions the Grand Cascade is the most outstanding. It is a unique system of beautiful fountains and waterfalls, accomplished with over 250 statues and reliefs.
Catherine Palace
The residence originated in 1717 by Catherine I of Russia. After it was reconstructed and on 30 July 1756 the architect Rastrelli presented the brand-new 325-meter-long palace to the Empress Elizabeth.
More than 100 kilograms of gold were used to gild the sophisticated stucco façade and numerous statues erected on the roof. Good known Amber Room was collected together and served first in the Winter Palace (it named The Hermitage now) for official receptions. During the 2nd World War all the amber from this room was removed and lost... Just for a complete reconstruction of the Amber room took 10 tons of amber and more than 10 million dollars!

The interior of the Cathedral is 4000 square meters, of which 600 meters is a mosaic panel, as well as 16,000 kilograms of malachite and 14 kinds of multi-colored marble.
